Born and raised in Auburn, Alabama (War Eagle!), Ashley earned a degree in International Relations from Florida State University and then obtained a Master’s in Health Administration from University of Phoenix. After a few years working in the health insurance industry, she felt called to pursue a degree in nursing. Returning to school, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Southern Union State Community College and soon after, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Columbus State University. A few years later, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and became a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
